Beside my medical doctors activity in Florence (private practice), since 2010 I am also head of the TCM Ambulatory at austrian institute for sportsmedicine (Österreichischen Institut für Sportmedizin - ÖISM) in Wien. In my daily work I focus on TCM orthopdecis and traumatology to treat injurys and musculoskeletal disorders with acupuncture, chinese herbal medicine and manual therapy.
After obtaining my degree in human medicine from the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich and the Free University Berlin I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at the “Schule Ost des Arbeitskreises für TCM” in Berlin as well as at the TCM University in Chengdu, China. I continued my training in Chinese orthopedics and traumatology at the Orthopedic Military Hospital of Sichuan Province, the Sichuan Tianxiang TCM Orthopedic Hospital, the Dance Injury Research Institute in Chengdu, and the Sichuan Tianpeng Academy of TCM-Orthopedics & Longevity, where I am a fellow research member since 2002. Since 2006 I teach at the University of Florence.
I published several papers (see under "Method") in Elsevier and Springer publications.
I am also a classical music enthusiast and had my violin education at the music high school “Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini” in Florence, Italy. I play the violin with the World Doctors Orchestra (WDO) since 2010 and, togehter with italian musicians, in 2012 I founded a chamber music ensemble (www.doctors-music-ensemble.eu)
